My life seems full of contradictions. I live in an oxymoron world. Therefore, it makes sense to me to have a list of favorite non-favorites. Allow me to explain. There are a lot of things in life in which the process is not all that joyful, but the results are. So, in the spirit of things that bring joy in the end results, but not necessarily during the process, I have compiled a list of favorite non-favorites:
1. Getting my teeth cleaned
2. Moving to a new house
3. Exercising
4. Cleaning House
5. Having a yard sale
6. Shopping for new clothes
I’m sure there are many more that I will think of later, but you get the idea. Maybe you have other’s to add to this list. Please feel free to list them in the comments. I’d love to compare lists.

I feel that way about putting up the Christmas tree. It’s a lot of work and trouble, but when you finally stand back and plug in the lights . . . magical!

I totally agree – in fact, some years I opt not to do a tree. Last year I put tulle and lights around my fireplace mantel and called it a day.

It wasn’t quite this bad today. And I did unpack a few boxes tonight. Leftovers from the estate sale. I also rearranged the living room today to accommodate a few new pieces. Dad asked when the carpenters were coming to begin construction on a new room. He thinks he’s funny.
