This is a continuation of yesterday’s Fall color photos. Today’s photos were taken in October of 2013 near Cave Run Lake which is near Morehead, KY. Enjoy!
The Lucy Maude Montgomery character, Anne, from Anne of Green Gables says it best:
“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. It would be terrible if we just skipped from September to November, wouldn’t it? Look at these maple branches. Don’t they give you a thrill–several thrills? I’m going to decorate my room with them.”

What beautiful pictures!!! As you well know…we do not get those beautiful October colors…more like, well…it could be most any time!!! But with the weather so much warmer here…even our cold spells are really cold!!! Thank you for sharing such beauty in God’s beautiful world!!!

I remember all too well that you do not get those beautiful colors. 🙂 That was one of the reasons I was ready to come home when we moved from there. Not having terribly cold winters, was a bonus though! And, you get the ocean, miss that.

Yes, the ocean…I believe I’d prefer seeing the beautiful fall colors…but stay away from the REALLY cold winters…and I do like the ocean/beach; just don’t really go very often – I don’t like being out in the HEAT…but a walk in the beach with a cool breeze…oh, yes!!!

I am probably more of a mountain gal vs ocean, if I had to choose, but maybe somewhere where I’d have the best of both would be perfect? 🙂 And mild winters too and perfect autumns. Does that place exist?

What a treat for the eyes! We are experiencing some lovely autumn color where I live too. Such a gift from God! And I love that Anne quote. 🙂
